The Samanes leadership asked Karleen to lead a seminar. The church also invited the other mission churches to attend. Seventy adults and older young people attended.

Some of the issues Karleen covered were:       
*The authority of the Bible.
*The sanctity of human life.
*The Bible and pregnancy.
*The Bible and abortion.
*The Biblical view of sex and sexuality.
*Contraception versus abortive birth control.

For the second time, we planned an overnight retreat for the LICRE churches for the purpose of going deeper or refreshing our relationship with God. This time there were thirty-eight people in attendance which was held at Camp “Quizas Hoy”(Perhaps Today). 

In many ways the retreat was quite simple. On Friday night we held two classes on spiritual disciplines (right) and conversational prayer (lower right). On Saturday, there were two periods of three hours each during which each person was alone with God.
